Yetti and the Kokonut B'Rose 2022

A shared curiosity in pushing boundaries in winemaking, Yetti and the Kokonut is a collaborative wine project founded in 2015 by South Australian vigneron David “Yetti” Geyer and Belgian-born sommelier Koen “Koko” Janssens. Based in the Barossa Valley, David and Koen seek out forgotten varieties from organic vineyards across South Australia—including Eden Valley, McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills.

With the belief that expressive wines begin in the vineyard, Yetti and the Kokonut prioritise a healthy ecosystem by sourcing only from organically managed vineyards and managing several plots of their own. Their ethos very much centres on respectful, hands-on viticulture and regenerative principles that support soil health, biodiversity and minimal chemical inputs. David and Koen’s style of wine embraces a vibrant and lo-fi approach: early picking of fruit, native fermentations, extended skin contact and multiple varietal blends to produce drink-now wines that are juicy and lively with playful personalities
